Broad Band Phone Services and VoIP technology are effecting more then just the local service market

Broad Band Phone Services and VoIP technology are effecting more then just the local service market.

Broad band IP based phone services are big news today. Most of the focus has been on the ability of these services to supplement or replace services provided by local carriers such as Verizon, Bell Atlantic, South West Bell and the other regional phone companies but that is only a tiny part of the impact they will have on global communications.

Northampton, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) January 22, 2004

ProvideTechnology, LLC is making a big impact with itsÂ’ clients by providing creative broad band phone service solutions that go far beyond unseating local carriers. VoIP has been a hot topic recently but one company is taking this service into a much bigger global market by from itsÂ’ Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania location.

While it is true that VoIP technologies can allow residential and small business users of DSL, Cable Modem or T1 Services to replace their local service providers with a little creativity this service can provide solutions that almost seem magical in comparison to what we have come to think of as typical telephone services. Jack Spirko owner of ProvideTechnology explained, "While much of the press about VoIP lately has been about unlimited residential service that is really only the tip of the iceberg".

Mr. SpirkoÂ’s company offers two of todayÂ’s top broad band phone service providers from one of their websites located at http://www. infinitephone. net (http://www. infinitephone. net) and recently they have been helping clients do some pretty impressive things with this technology. One of the lesser know facts about VoIP is that it allows users the ability to set up a local phone number in just about any major U. S. city. This feature opens a lot of options for those with a little creativity.

One thing that can be done for companies and families separated by geography is setting up cheap inbound lines. For instance a family in Florida can bring up a local number in Minnesota where the rest of their family lives. Family members in Minnesota now dial a local number and reach the client in Florida with no long distance charges because the call is local for those in Minnesota and only the party in Florida needs to have broad band service to receive the calls. The cost of such an inbound line is less then 9 dollars a month and is not subjected to the taxes and fees on traditional phone lines.

This technology has also been helping military families stay connected. VoIP is unencumbered by global boundaries. For instance a U. S. solider in Japan with a broad band connection can set up service with unlimited in bound calls that are local to his family in the U. S. His family then can make unlimited calls to him in Japan at no cost and once again the family in the U. S. doesnÂ’t need to have broad band access.

One additional example is for traveling executives. With the right provider VoIP is portable just like a lap top computer. A traveler can simply toss an IP phone into a suit case when he goes on the road and many hotels provide broad band access today. The traveler simply plugs his IP phone into the broad band connection in his room. Again his family and customers can now call him on a local number but more exciting is the fact that he can still take advantage of his out bound service and make calls from the room as well.

When asked about the future of VoIP Mr. Spirko concluded, "Well, the technology is here already. There are great providers available like iConnectHere and Packet8 the only issue now is the consumer just doesnÂ’t truly understand how powerful this technology is. Right now there are only about 150,000 users of this technology in the U. S. so we are indeed very excited about the future".

ProvideTechnology, LLC based in Northampton, Pennsylvania, is an independent Telecommunications Agency providing a variety of telecommunications products and services using a brokerage approach. Currently ProvideTechnology offers solutions from more the 40 service providers. These services include Long-distance, Internet Access, Wireless Services, T1 Service, Web Hosting, Broad Band Phone Service and many other technology services. Chapel Hill, NC (PRWEB) August 12, 2009

Patients Beyond Borders: Malaysia Edition was formally launched at the APHM Annual Conference in Kuala Lumpur on 23 July, 2009, to a gratifying display of unity from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Tourism, and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), as well as specially invited guests from the US, the UK, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, and Thailand. Dato' Dr. Jacob Thomas, President of the Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia (APHM), along with Dr. Abdullah and the leaders of ISQua, presented copies of Patients Beyond Borders: Malaysia Edition to the top executives of the book's featured hospitals at the launch ceremony.

"I was pleased and honored to see such a show of unity amongst disparate public and private interests," said Josef Woodman, author of the Patients Beyond Borders series and CEO of Healthy Travel Media. Last year, Malaysia welcomed 370,000 travelers from 60 countries who visited its international medical facilities for a wide range of procedures and services, including hip and knee replacement, coronary angiography, dentistry, health screenings, and more.

"Health tourism is one of the brightest points in the growth of the healthcare sector in Malaysia," according to Dr. Paul Suwinski, Frost & Sullivan's Senior Consultant of Healthcare for Asia Pacific.
With a growing number of hospitals accredited by international organizations and by the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH), Malaysia's medical tourism sector is expected to see continued robust annual growth exceeding 25.3%, allowing the country to showcase its quality healthcare services and specialties offered at competitive prices.

Penobscot School, Maine’s non-profit center for language learning and international cultural exchange, offers a wide variety of language immersion events throughout the year.

The School delivers immersions in Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish, and workshops in Arabic, Tuscany style Italian cooking, French, Italian and Spanish for Travelers, Russian, Chinese, Swedish, German, French, and Spanish in the Woods Weekend Retreats, and more. To kick-start an entire year of celebration for its upcoming 20th Anniversary, Penobscot School will present Spanish Immersion Day with Jaqueline Cazares on Saturday, December 3. The event starts at 10:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. Pre-registration is required and limited youth scholarships are available. The School is offering a 15% discount off of the regular fee of $108 ($93) for those who register by Monday, November 28.

Jaqueline is looking forward to Spanish Immersion Day and she gives us a little taste of things to come as follows: “Everybody is welcome, but please note that the level of instruction will be at the intermediate stage. The plan is to learn while we are having fun. I hope you folks like poetry, because I do and I will be sharing it with you. We will analyze a poem written by Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. We will listen to and enjoy some special music and learn along with it. And last but not least, we will cook some delicious sopes, which are made from corn flour, like a tortilla but these are thicker and smaller. The sides of the sopes’ crust are built high to hold in the beans, fried chopped ribs, salsa, lettuce, and cheese. Along with the sopes, we will also make guacamole and Ague de Hardhat, a special cold Mexican drink. So, come and join us. It will be fun for everyone.”

Penobscot School’s 2005-2006 Spanish exchange teacher Jaqueline Cazares of Colima, Mexico will make the experience interactive, fun and inspiring with lots of opportunity to practice the target language. Spanish Immersion Day is designed for people who have studied Spanish and wish to reacquaint and immerse themselves in the language and culture for a day. Jaqueline currently teaches weekly Spanish language classes to adults and kids (K-1). During the next semester, which begins on January 23, Jaqueline will teach weekly Spanish language classes at the beginning, beginning advanced, intermediate and advanced levels. Jaqueline is also running a Spanish-language radio show on WRFR, where she offers music, poetry, and stories and legends from Mexico — all in Spanish, on Tuesdays from 9-10 pm.

For students who wish to develop an ear for the Spanish language or practice their conversation skills on a regular basis, brown-bag lunches are normally held Tuesdays from 12:15 to 1:15 pm at the School. The public, and not just students of the School are encouraged to attend these conversation sessions which are helpful to all levels of Spanish language learner. Jaqueline and friends of Penobscot School also hold potluck suppers and Spanish film nights the fourth Friday of each month with some holiday week exceptions. These Friday evening events are free and open to the public, and they provide another opportunity to practice listening and speaking Spanish. Contact Jaqueline at 207-594-7688 for Immersion Day details or to confirm language lunch and supper schedules.
